Twist-On
1. Using a cable stripper, carefully remove about 15mm of the black PVC
2. With a cutting knife, shave the new end of the black PVC to a 45° angle
3. Peal back the braid shield layers onto the black PVC to expose the inner white PVC
4. Again using the cable stripper, carefully remove about 10mm of the inner white PVC to expose the core conductor
5. Insert and push the core conductor into the Twist-On Type F-Connector.
6. Securely attach by screwing the Type F-Connector onto the cable.
7. Keep screwing the Type F-Connector to the cable until the white PVC appears flush with the innerface of the screw well
8. For a clean finished cable, remove any excess shield residual with a sharp tool. The exposed core conductor must not protrude past the end of the F-Connector by 3mm.
Crimp
1. Using a cable stripper, carefully remove about 15mm of the black PVC to expose the braid shield.
2. Peal back the braid shield layers onto the black PVC to expose the inner white PVC
3. Again using the cable stripper, carefully remove about 10mm of the inner white PVC to expose the core conductor
4. Insert and push the core conductor into the inner circle flange of the Crimp Type F-Connector.
5. Ensure to carefully insert the Type F-Connector inner circle flange between the white PVC and braid shield
6. Push the cable through the Type F-Connector until the white PVC appears flush with the innerface of the screw well
7. Securely crimp the Type F-Connector to the cable using a crimping tool
8. For a clean finished cable, remove any excess shield residual with a sharp tool. The exposed core conductor must not protrude past the end of the F-Connector by 3mm.
Compression
4. After preparing the cable, insert and push the core conductor into the compression connector.
5. Push and twist the cable through the connector until the white PVC appears flush with the inner face of the screw well.
6. Insert the connector into a compression tool and squeeze the handles until the green section is compressed.
7. For a clean finished cable, remove any excess shield residual with a sharp tool. The exposed core conductor must not protrude past the end of the F-Connector by 3mm.
PAL Connector
1. Using a cable stripper, carefully remove about 15mm of the black PVC
2. Peal back the braid shield layers onto the black PVC to expose the inner white PVC
3. Again using the cable stripper, carefully remove about 10mm of the inner white PVC to expose the core conductor
4. Unscrew the Collar and separate the cable clamp and centre connector from the plug body.
5. After preparing the cable, slide the collar onto the coax cable, then secure the braiding by widening and adjusting the cable clamp.
6. Now loosen the Philips screw on the centre connector until the core conductor of the cable slots in. Once it is inside, tighten the screw to secure it.
7. Insert the centre connector back into the plug body and screw back the Collar as much as possible until it is secure.
Modular 8P8C Connector
1. Using a cable stripper, carefully remove about 25mm of the PVC to expose the inner wires.
2. Slide off the outer cable layer to expose the inner wires and cartledge spine.
3. Separate the inner wires from the spine and untwist only as much wire as is needed for the 8P8C connector.
4. Carefully trim the centre spine cartledge to the same length as the PVC outer layer
5. Straighten the twisted wires and line them in the same order(T-568B) as shown in the image, then trim the cables so all the ends are even.
6. With the plug tab facing down, insert the wires into the connector ensuring they maintain the correct order and the PVC outer layer is anchored inside the plug.
7. Securely crimp the 8P8C connector to the cable using a crimping tool.
8. A cable tester will help to check the cable connections
